JBoss ON Edit Role: Assigned resource groups list is cleared when using search function

Environment

• Red Hat JBoss Operations Network (ON) 3.3, 3.3.1, 3.3.2, 3.3.3
• Editing existing Role > Resource Group Assignment in ON UI

Issue

• Using the search box on Resource Groups tab of Role definition filters the available groups list and the already assigned groups list, so the assigned groups are cleared and removed from the role

Resolution

This issue has been resolved in JBoss ON 3.3 Update-04.

If you are not able to apply the latest update, the workaround is not to use the search feature but instead, scroll through the available resource group list.

Root Cause

The search criteria is applied to both the available resource group list-box and the assigned resource group list-box. The result is that any resource group in the assigned resource group list which does not match the entered criteria will be removed from the selected list.
