How to enable or disable Repositories in an Activation Key on Red Hat Satellite 6?
Environment
- Red Hat Satellite 6.x
Issue
- How to enable or diasble the Repositories in an Activation Key so that when any system is registered to Red Hat Satellite server using the key then it should automatically enable or disable the required repositories on the client system?
- Using Activation key to enable or disable the set of repositories on the Host when registering it with Red Hat Satellite 6.
Resolution

Navigate to the below path to enable or disable the required content:
WebUI >> Content >> Activation Keys >> Select one of activation key >> Product Content >> Click on Icon in front of the repository >> Enable or disable. -
For Red Hat Satellite 6.3 ~ 6.14:
WebUI >> Content >> Activation Keys >> Select one of activation key >> Repository Sets >> select the checkboxes as per requirement for repositories >> Select Actions dropdown >> override option to Enable or disable. -
For Red Hat Satellite 6.15:
WebUI >> Content >> Lifecycle >> Activation Keys >> Select one of activation key >> Repository Sets >> select the checkboxes as per requirement for repositories >> Select Actions dropdown >> override option to Enable or disable. -
The repositories that you are seeing are disabled for that activation key. The repos that are seen
enabledorYesunder thestatuscolumn will be going to enabled on the system that will be registered using this activation key.
