Web interface shows wrong MDB consumers count

Solution Verified - Updated

Environment

  • Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) 6.4.5
    • Web interface
    • colocated live-backup setup i.e. 2 active live servers and 2 backup instances
    • <hornetq-server name="live"> HornetQ server name is defined

Issue

  • With multiple JMS providers configured on one JBoss instance (testing a co-located backup environment) the web interface shows 0 consumers for each queue.
Executing a CLI query for an arbitrary queue shows the expected result.
    • If <hornetq-server name="live"> 0 consumers listed in web console
    • If <hornetq-server> correct number of consumers listed in web console

Resolution

Update to EAP 6.4.7 or later where this has been addressed.
