  • Executing apply-updates.bat to apply update to JBoss ON agent

Issue

  • Agent update reports failures

  • Error:

      Unexpected error:C:\rhq-agent\jbossas\standalone\configuration\standalone-full.xml (The system cannot find the path specified)
      java.io.FileNotFoundException: D:\rhq-agent\jbossas\standalone\configuration\standalone-full.xml (The system cannot find the path specified)
    
  • Error:

      Unexpected error:C:\rhq-agent\bin\rhq-server.properties (The system cannot find the file specified)
      java.io.FileNotFoundException: D:\rhq-agent\bin\rhq-server.properties (The system cannot find the file specified)
    

Resolution

This error message can be ignored. The update was applied correctly.

Root Cause

When the apply-updates utility reports a success message, regardless if it is updating a standalone agent or a server or the combination, it is attempting to apply configuration or property file updates or fixes to the server installation.
