How to modify the product label and repository label of any custom product/repository on Red Hat Satellite 6?

Environment

Red Hat Satellite 6.x

Issue

• How to rename a custom product label ?
• How to rename a custom repository label ?
• Why no option available to modify the product/repository label from Red Hat Satellite web UI ?

Resolution

• It is not possible to modify the label of any custom repository and custom product.
  Modification of product and repository label is not supported on Red Hat Satellite. If you still want to modify the label, best practice is to create a new product or repository.

Root Cause

• The Directory path of any content is based on the product label and repository label instead of product/repository name.
• Modifying the product/repository label can break these links and can create issue in installing and updating packages on clients.
• Hence we can modify the product/repository name but not label
