Environment

  • Red Hat Satellite 6.3

Issue

  • Unable to provision the machine using the Red Hat Satellite 6.3
  • Getting below error message
Curl: (22) The requested URL returned error : 404 Not Found
Warning: Anaconda failed to fetch Kickstart file from the Server http://satellite.example.com/unattend-70b-a01a-3es40234ed50

Resolution

  • Make sure the appropriate templates have been selected.
Login To Satellite webui --> Hosts --> Operating System --> Select the Operating System --> Templates --> Make sure all entries are filled with appropriate details.

  • The Provisioning template entry was not selected.
