Cannot attach files to cases via email
Environment
- Red Hat Customer Portal
Issue
- I tried to send a case attachment by replying to one of the case comment notification emails and attaching my file to the email, but this did not seem to work.
- Can I attach a file to my support case by sending it as an email attachment?
- The Customer Portal throws away email attachments.
Resolution
Case attachments must be done through the This content is not included.Red Hat Customer Portal website. Sending them as an email attachment will not work, because attachments are stripped from incoming comments due to security configurations.
