BlockingFailureCount not tracking IJ000655 errors in JBoss EAP

Environment

• Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) 7

Issue

• Connection pool statistics are enabled
• In the server.log a number of IJ000453 / IJ000655 errors have been logged indicating timeout while waiting for a connection
• The BlockingFailureCount statistic is always 0

Resolution

Root Cause
