Cannot convert Satellite clients to flex entitlements when subscribed to custom channel

Environment

• Red Hat Network Satellite 5.4 with flex guest entitlements
• virtual guest running Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.5

Issue

• Any guests in custom channels remain listed as regular even after checking the box and clicking the "Convert to Flex Guest Entitlement" button

Resolution

• Do not attempt to convert custom channel entitlement usage to flex guest entitlements.

Root Cause

• Custom channels have unlimited usage, and flex guest entitlements do not apply to them.
• There is a known issue in which the Overview > Subscription Management > Virtualization Entitlements > Guests Consuming Regular Entitlements tab of the Satellite web UI displays virtual guests subscribed to custom channels as if they can be converted to flex guest entitlements.
