Resolution

  • Check and verify proxy/ firewall is configured to allow communication between Red Hat Satellite 6 server and Red Hat CDN network.

  • Verify Red Hat CDN URL is set to https://cdn.redhat.com:

    WebUI: Content > Subscriptions > Manage Manifet > Red Hat CDN URL = https://cdn.redhat.com > Update

Root Cause

  • production.log and /var/log/messages shows pulp is trying to reach https://access.redhat.com/ (wrong URL) instead of https://cdn.redhat.com for downloading contents.
