Unable to synchronize any repositories in Satellite

Solution Verified - Updated

Environment

  • Red Hat Satellite 6.6

Issue

  • Why am I getting the following error when trying to synchronize any Red Hat repository? ("RPM1004: Error retrieving metadata: Forbidden")

Resolution

Make sure the root cause below apply to your specific case before proceeding with the resolution.

The first thing to do will be to go on your Satellite and perform the following:

Content --> Subscriptions --> Manage Manifest --> Delete

Once this is done, you can create a new subscription allocation in the portal and reimport a new manifest.

Root Cause

"The Subscription Allocation providing the imported manifest has been removed. Please create a new Subscription Allocation and import the new manifest."
