Provisioning fails with "Unable to set DHCP entry ([RestClient::BadRequest]: 400 Bad Request)", after upgrading to Red Hat Satellite 6.6.

Environment

  • Red Hat Satellite 6.6
  • Infoblox

Issue

  • After Upgrading Red Hat Satellite to version 6.6, provisioning a system using infoblox fails with:

    Unable to save
    Create DHCP Settings for client.example.com task failed with the following error: ERF12-6899 [ProxyAPI::ProxyException]: Unable to set DHCP entry ([RestClient::BadRequest]: 400 Bad Request) for Capsule https://satellite.example.com:9090/dhcp
    

Resolution

  • Satellite comes with the Infoblox DHCP view set to default, which is the view that comes with Infoblox. Make sure that your environment matches this view.
