OpenShift 4 Operator upgrade hangs waiting approval even with Automatic set

Issue

  • When upgrading an Operator through Operator Lifecycle Manager (OLM) the upgrade hangs even though Automatic Approval is configured.

Resolution

This is a known issue and being tracked in this This content is not included.bug report.

Currently, if you have a single InstallPlan in your project configured for Manual Approval, then all other InstallPlans in that project do as well. You must manually approve the Operator's upgrade in order to proceed.
