  • Red Hat Satellite 6.x

Issue

How to configure Red Hat Satellite 6.x content view(s) to provide content for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.x systems with SAP HANA / SAP NetWeaver installed? What Red Hat repositories do we need to configure the content view(s) with?

Resolution

To provide content for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.x systems with SAP HANA / SAP NetWeaver installed, you need to create a dedicated (simple) content view, and configure it with the following repositories:

  • satellite-tools-6.x-for-rhel-8-x86_64-e4s-rpms (replace the x in the 6.x with the minor release of your Red Hat Satellite 6.x)
  • rhel-8-for-x86_64-baseos-e4s-rpms
  • rhel-8-for-x86_64-appstream-e4s-rpms
  • rhel-8-for-x86_64-sap-solutions-e4s-rpms
  • rhel-8-for-x86_64-sap-netweaver-e4s-rpms (You can exclude this one if you are not going to install SAP NetWeaver on your Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.x systems)

Note:

Aside from the **satellite-tools-6.x-for-rhel-8-x86_64-e4s-rpms** repository, the repositories referred to above are the same ones referred to in step (3) of the **3. Enable base repositories for Update Services for SAP Solutions** subsection of the **Resolution** section of the following KCS: [How to subscribe to Update Services for SAP Solutions on RHEL 8](https://access.redhat.com/solutions/4714781) for the **x86_64** platform.
