Issue

Recently Oracle adopted the standard SQL syntax to limit the number of returned rows in a query. Will that be supported by Hibernate?

Resolution

The enhancement is introduced in JBoss EAP 7.4.5 or later as This content is not included.JBEAP-22012.

Root Cause

This is related to the upstream change (Content from hibernate.atlassian.net is not included.HHH-14624) which does not yet exist in the Hibernate releases included with JBoss EAP.
