https://access.redhat.com/solutions/1592573

Resolution

RHEL Workstations in the Public Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) require a RHEL Server subscription. Please contact your Account Manager or Red Hat representative for more information or assistance.

Root Cause

The RHEL Workstation subscription is not supported for Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) based systems. When running as a virtualized guest this subscription requires the virt-who service on the host and a supported hypervisor.
