How to Prefer registered through Capsule for remote execution on client system registered to satellite or capsule server

Environment

• Red Hat Satellite 6.11 or later
• Red Hat Capsule Server 6.11 or later

Issue

• How to Prefer registered through Capsule for remote execution on the client system?
• we need to use the same satellite/capsule server for remote execution on the client system to which the client system is registered.

Resolution

• Using hammer command:

  # hammer settings set --name remote_execution_prefer_registered_through_proxy  --value True
  

• From satellite WebUI :

  Navigate to Administer > Settings and click the Content tab > Set the Prefer registered through Capsule for remote execution to Yes
  

• While running the ansible jobs using the external Capsule, ensure the ansible feature is enabled on the capsule.
