Random failure of Inventory Sync on Red Hat Satellite 6

Environment

• Red Hat Satellite 6.10 and above

Issue

• Automatic Inventory sync randomly fails on Red Hat Satellite 6 with below error

      production.log [E|bac|2f0110d4] 504 Gateway Timeout (RestClient::GatewayTimeout)
      production.log [E|bac|fc315bb8] 503 Service Unavailable (RestClient::ServiceUnavailable)

      Exception:
      RestClient::Unauthorized: 401 Unauthorized
  

Resolution

• The issue is now fixed in the rubygem-foreman_rh_cloud-6.0.44-1.el8sat package of Red Hat Satellite 6.12.1 version via errata RHSA-2023:0261.
  • Update Satellite to the 6.12.1 version
