Environment

  • JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) 7.4.x

Issue

  • We see the following exception on EAP 7.4 with some session invalidations:
java.lang.IllegalStateException
    at org.wildfly.clustering.web.undertow.session.SimpleSessionConfig.clearSession(SimpleSessionConfig.java:47)
    at org.wildfly.clustering.web.undertow.session.DistributableSession.invalidate(DistributableSession.java:282)
    at io.undertow.servlet.spec.HttpSessionImpl.invalidate(HttpSessionImpl.java:198)

Resolution

  • Upgrade to EAP 8.0.0+
  • Update to EAP 7.4 Update 13+
