Solution Verified - Updated

Environment

  • OpenShift Cluster Manager (OCM)

Issue

  • When viewing cluster details in OpenShift Cluster Manager (OCM), the infra node count is not correct.
  • OCM not reflecting infra nodes information.
  • OCM is miscalculating the license cost resulting in more billing than expected.

Resolution

Workaround

  • Infra nodes require two infra labels:

     # oc label nodes <NodeName> node-role.kubernetes.io/infra=''
     # oc label nodes <NodeName> node-role.kubernetes.io=infra
