How to enable a repository on Satellite 6
Environment
Red Hat Satellite 6
Issue
Need to add a repository to a Satellite for client content access
Resolution
- Log into the Satellite WebUI
- Navigate to Content > Red Hat Repositories
- With the drop-down box to the right of the search bar, ensure "Available" is selected
- Search in the search box for the name or the label of the repository. Example: rhel-9-for-x86_64-appstream-rpms
- On the left side column click the repository name to expand the versions available to enable.
- Click the blue plus (+) icon to the right of the version that you would like to enable.
NOTE: Enabling a repository is not the same as syncing a repository. Once you have enabled a repository, you must sync the repository before you are able to access the content from the Satellite server. Please see How to sync a repository on Satellite 6 for how to sync a repository on Red Hat Satellite 6.
