How to adjust "Hosts automated" / "Hosts remaining" counts of "subscription settings" in the Controller UI

Environment

  • Ansible Automation Platform 2.4

Issue

  • How can we reset "Hosts automated" / "Hosts remaining" counts of "subscription settings" in the Controller UI.

Resolution

  • To remove the unused/unwanted hosts in AAP 2.4, use the "Host Metrics" Tab in the Automation controller. 

      Location: AAP Dashboard -> Views -> Host Metrics

    After that, verify "Hosts automated" / "Hosts remaining" counts.

  • For the AAP 2.3 version, there is no such feature as "Host metrics". So, it is required to upgrade to the AAP 2.4 to utilize the Host Metric feature.
