Resolution

  • Please note that for the Red Hat Satellite application, PostgreSQL versions 12 and 13 will be supported.

  • The PostgreSQL versions 12 and 13 will continue to be supported for Red Hat Satellite applications. Although PostgreSQL 12 reached its community EOL in November 2024 and Postgresql 13 reached its community EOL in November 2025, both remain supported in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 until May 2029. For further details, refer to the Red Hat Enterprise Linux Application Streams Life Cycle.

  • The EOL versions of Red Hat Satellite (6.13, 6.14, and 6.15) include PostgreSQL 12.

  • The current supported versions of Red Hat Satellite (6.16, 6.17, and 6.18) include PostgreSQL 13, which will continue to be supported. There are no current plans to upgrade the PostgreSQL version for these Red Hat Satellite versions.

  • Red Hat Satellite 6.16, 6.17, and 6.18 support PostgreSQL 13.

  • If an external database is in use, then it should be manually updated before upgrading Red Hat Satellite. For additional information, refer to External database upgrade.
