Is the pcsd web UI supported on RHEL 10 or later?
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 10 (with the Red Hat High Availability Add-On) or later
Resolution
As of RHEL 10, the pcsd Web UI is no longer available. To access the same functionality, use the RHEL web console. For further guidance about setting up and accessing the web console, refer to Installing and enabling the web console.
In contrast with pcsd web UI, it is not possible to log into the RHEL web console as the hacluster user. Users with a login shell set to /sbin/nologin cannot authenticate into the RHEL web console. Instead, any user with sudo access can get full access to cluster management after gaining Administrative access in the RHEL web console. as described in Administrative access in the web console.
The pcsd Web UI functionality is provided by the HA Cluster Management add-on for the RHEL web console. The add-on is distributed as the cockpit-ha-cluster RPM package. For further instructions, refer to Installing and enabling the HA Cluster Management add-on for the RHEL web console.
Root Cause
The pcsd Web UI is no longer provided by pcs on RHEL 10 or later.
