Out of memory error when synchronizing Red Hat Satellite Capsule 6.x

Environment

  • Red Hat Capsule 6.x

Issue

  • We have the following error when synchronizing the capsule:

    Last sync failed: out of memory DETAIL: Failed on request of size 4194304 in memory context "ExecutorState". Plus 1 more error
    

Resolution

  1. Make sure that the Capsule server has at least 12 GB of memory. If it doesn't, increase the amount of memory allocated to the Capsule to at least 12 GB.
  2. Perform a new Capsule sync.
