JBoss - Java heap retention in SharedLocalYieldingClusterLockManager

Issue

• JBoss goes OOME and most of the heap is used by org.jboss.as.clustering.lock.SharedLocalYieldingLockManager$LocalLock.

Resolution

• Upgrade to EAP 6.2.2+.

Root Cause

• This content is not included.BZ-1039585
  • Cluster session locks are not properly released upon session expiration

Diagnostic Steps

• Capture a heap dump and compare org.jboss.as.clustering.lock.SharedLocalYieldingLockManager$LocalLock object counts to session counts
