Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes 2.4 Support Matrix

Updated

Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes (Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management) provides the tools and capabilities to address common challenges that administrators and site reliability engineers face as they work across a range of environments, including multiple datacenters, private clouds, and public clouds that run Kubernetes clusters.

Access the documentation at Product Documentation for Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes.

Using Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes (Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management), you can:

  • Easily provision Kubernetes clusters and offer complete cluster lifecycle management (create, upgrade, destroy) from a single console. Discover and onboard existing clusters into a consistent management domain.
  • Use policies to automatically configure and maintain consistency of security controls required by industry or self-imposed corporate standards.
  • Deploy and maintain day 2 operations of business applications distributed across your cluster landscape.

Supported browsers

The following table outlines the browsers that are supported for viewing the Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management web user interface.

Browser support is divided into tiers:

  • Tier 1: Browser and operating system combinations that are fully tested and fully supported. Red Hat Engineering is committed to fixing issues with browsers on this tier.
  • Tier 2: Browser and operating system combinations that are partially tested, and are likely to work. Limited support is provided for this tier. Red Hat Engineering will attempt to fix issues with browsers on this tier.
  • Tier 3: Browser and operating system combinations that are not tested, but may work. Minimal support is provided for this tier. Red Hat Engineering will attempt to fix only minor issues with browsers on this tier.
Support TierBrowser
Tier 1Google Chrome - Chrome for Business; Mozilla Firefox Version 82.0.2 (64-bit)
Tier 2Microsoft Internet Explorer Edge - Version 44 and later (Windows), Version 81 (Official build) (64-bit) (MacOS)
Tier 3Safari on MacOS (Mojave) - Version 14.0

Supported platforms for Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes

Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management has two main components:

  • A server component called the “hub” where the management tools and user interface are running
  • A client component that is installed on all Kubernetes clusters that will be managed by the “hub”
  • Note: You do not have to use a dedicated cluster for your hub cluster.

For product lifecycle information for Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, see Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform Life Cycle. Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes is not supported on OpenShift Container Platform versions that have reached their end-of-life status.

Note: As the pace of change in public cloud features is high, constantly changing and evolving, the compatibility for Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes is correct at GA of the product. Best effort basis during errata cycle for public cloud vendors introduced breaking changes (intended or unintended) to existing functionality. Any other changes or additions would be considered as a Request For Enhancement (RFE), which is evaluated for potential inclusion in future releases. An RFE can be requested using standard support mechanisms.

For Kubernetes services, see Public Cloud Kubernetes support statement.

Feature support
