Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes 2.13 Support Matrix

Updated

Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes (RHACM) provides the tools and capabilities to address common challenges that administrators and site reliability engineers face as they work across a range of environments, including multiple data centers, private clouds, and public clouds that run Kubernetes clusters.

For more details, see the product documentation.

General support statement

Supported platforms for RHACM

RHACM has two main components:

  • A server component called the “hub cluster” where the management tools and user interface run
  • A client component that is installed on all Kubernetes clusters that can be managed by the “hub cluster”
  • Note: You do not have to use a dedicated cluster for your hub cluster.

Note: As the pace of change in public cloud features is high, constantly changing and evolving, the compatibility for RHACM is correct at GA of the product. Best effort basis during errata cycle for public cloud vendors introduced breaking changes (intended or unintended) to existing functionality. Any other changes or additions would be considered as a Request For Enhancement (RFE), which is evaluated for potential inclusion in future releases. An RFE can be requested using standard support mechanisms. For more details on Red Hat Support, see What is Commercially Reasonable Support?

For Kubernetes services, see Public Cloud Kubernetes support statement.

Feature support

RHACM allows you to perform actions on the clusters that it manages, and provides features for interacting with and providing information about those clusters. This section outlines the status of features support that you can perform on clusters.

Governance

The Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes Policy-based Governance feature area includes support for the Open Cluster Management and Open Policy Agent (OPA) Gatekeeper policy run-time engines.

OPA Gatekeeper can be installed and managed independently from the rest of the Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management (RHACM) suite by using the Operator Lifecycle Manager Operator. While it can be deployed in a standalone configuration without installing the full RHACM suite, a valid subscription to either Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management or OpenShift Platform Plus is required for installing, using, and requesting product support.

Red Hat Support Services do not include assistance with developing, validating, or maintaining custom policies for either the Open Cluster Management or OPA Gatekeeper policy engines. This means support does not include policy development, validation against specific use cases or requirements, extensive troubleshooting, or ongoing maintenance of custom policies. For further details, refer to the Production Support Scope of Coverage. For additional assistance, including policy development or customization, contact your account representative, Customer Success Executive (CSE), This content is not included.Technical Account Manager (TAM), or This content is not included.Red Hat Consulting.
