Manifest refresh fails with error bad component(expected user component): <password> on Red Hat Satellite 6.

Environment

• Red Hat Satellite 6.x

Issue

• Refreshing the manifest fails with messages like these:

  • {"displayMessage"=>"bad component(expected user component): redhat@badpassword", "conflicts"=>["UNKNOWN"]}
  • bad component(expected user component): redhat@badpassword (URI::InvalidComponentError)

• Error on Subscriptions Page:

  • {bad URI?):https://redhat:badpassword@< proxy server >: < proxy port >

Resolution

• Change the password of the proxy server so that it does not include any special characters.

• This bug will be fixed.
