Red Hat Single Sig-On (RH-SSO) support patching model

Solution Verified - Updated

Environment

  • Red Hat Single Sign-On (RH-SSO)
    • 7.x

Issue

  • What is the RH-SSO support patching model ?
  • Will I continue to receive new RH-SSO 7.1.z patches now that a new minor release of RH-SSO 7.2.0.GA is made available ?

Resolution

Red Hat does not produce a new patch release for a previous minor version of RH-SSO after a newer minor version has been released.

For instance, the RH-SSO 7.1.z patches will stop (with the latest patch in 7.1 being 7.1.4), once the new minor release of RH-SSO 7.2.0.GA has been made available.
The new upcoming patches will only be built on the current RH-SSO 7.2.z release train.
That, until a newer minor release of RH-SSO 7.3 is available, and which in turn will stop the patches for the 7.2 minor release.
Same for the newer minor release of RH-SSO 7.4 which in turn stops the patches for the 7.3 minor release train.

Customers are highly recommended to use (or move to) the This content is not included.latest available RH-SSO GA release and to apply the This content is not included.latest available patch for that release.

Refer to the Red Hat Single Sig-On (RH-SSO) Releases Roadmap for all available releases and patches.
