Connected setup

  • Red Hat Satellite 6.4 and above versions provide the ability to update the manifest from the Red Hat Satellite User Interface (UI).
  • This is a new feature with Red Hat Satellite 6.4 and above versions which is connected to the internet.
  • Subscriptions can be added into the existing manifest by executing the below steps:
  • On Red Hat Satellite Web UI → ContentSubscriptionsAdd Subscriptions → Select the needed subscription and quantity required → Scroll down and click Submit.
  • Manifest will be refreshed automatically after adding subscriptions from UI and newly added subscriptions will be available for the client registered with the Red Hat Satellite server.

Disconnected setup (offline Network Setup)

  • Open Red Hat Customer Portal in your browser and log into your Customer Portal account.
  • Navigate to Subscriptions → Subscription Allocations, which is in the top- left corner of the Customer Portal
  • Select existing manifest, Add required subscriptions click Submit button at the bottom Page.
  • Click Export Manifest
  • Content > Red Hat Subscriptions. Click Manage Manifest to display the manifest page for our organization. Click Choose file, select our
Subscription Manifest, then click Upload. The Satellite Server uploads the manifest and, after a few minutes, reports a successful import in the Manifest History section
