Starting with Red Hat Satellite 6.9, it is possible to enable or disable Simple Content Access (SCA) from Red Hat Satellite WebUI itself.
-
Please follow the below steps to enable or disable Simple Content Access (SCA) from Red Hat Satellite WebUI:
For Satellite 6.12 and Older
- Navigate to
Content-->Subscriptionson your Red Hat Satellite WebUI. - Click on the
Manage Manifestbutton available on the top right section of theSubscriptionswebpage. - Here you will find the Simple Content Access field under the Subscription Manifest section, where using the toggle button, you can enable or disable the Simple Content Access (SCA) for that particular manifest from Red Hat Satellite WebUI itself.
For Satellite 6.13 to 6.15
Please refer to How do I enable Simple Content Access for Red Hat Satellite?
For Satellite 6.16 and Later
SCA can no longer be disabled in Satellite 6.16 and later versions. With the release of Red Hat Satellite 6.16, Simple Content Access (SCA) is enabled by default and is now the only supported method for subscription management. As a result, the traditional Entitlement-based Subscription Management has been removed for both new installations and upgraded Satellite.
NOTE: Enabling or disabling Simple Content Access (SCA) using the above steps will refresh your manifest.
