Service Telemetry Framework Life Cycle

Overview

Service Telemetry Framework (STF) provides automated collection of measurements and data from remote clients – Red Hat OpenStack Platform (OSP) or third-party nodes – and transmission of that information to a centralized, receiving Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) deployment for storage, retrieval, and monitoring.

Maintenance support

Full support for STF is now finished, and it has moved to maintenance support. During the maintenance support lifecycle, Red Hat will not add new features to STF 1.5. Red Hat continues to address critical STF bugs and CVEs.

Deprecation notice

STF complete deprecation is planned for the end of the RHOSP 17.1 ELS Term 1, expected in Q3 2027.

For more information on the product lifecycle for RHOSP and STF, see the Red Hat OpenStack Platform Support Life Cycle and Service Telemetry Framework Life Cycle pages on the customer portal.
