Set up your development environment

Set up your development environment with the tools and extensions you need to create Ansible automation content.

To get started, install the Ansible VS Code extension and the Ansible development tools package. Red Hat provides two options for installing the development tools package:

• Installation on a RHEL container running inside VS Code. You can install this option on MacOS, Windows, and Linux systems.
• Installation on your local RHEL system using an RPM (Red Hat Package Manager) package.
