Getting error Owner has already imported from another subscription management application while uploading a manifest on Red Hat Satellite 6.

Solution Verified - Updated

Environment

  • Red Hat Satellite 6

Issue

  • On Red Hat Satellite 6, uploading a new manifest results into below error:

Owner has already imported from another subscription management application.

Resolution

  • Make sure there is no existing manifest already uploaded on the Satellite as an organization can be uploaded with only one manifest.

  • Before uploading the new manifest, delete the current manifest and then try to upload the new one.

Content --> Subscriptions --> Manage manifest --> Manifest --> Delete

NOTE: Deleting the existing manifest will remove the attached subscriptions from the registered hosts and make them unentitled.

  • If in case deleting the existing manifest is not a feasible option, then a new organization can be created on Satellite on which the new manifest should be uploaded.
