Disable the built-in administrator

Disable the built-in administrator account to enforce external identity providers as the only authentication method.

Before you begin

  • You have configured at least one external identity provider.
  • At least one external user has administrator privileges.

About this task

Note:

Only the built-in administrator account can disable itself.

Procedure

  1. Log in as the built-in administrator.
  2. Navigate to System Administration > Access Management > Users.
  3. In the Built-in Administrator Account card, set the toggle to Disabled.
  4. In the confirmation dialog, select Disable and sign out to confirm.

    Automation orchestrator logs you out after disabling the account.

Results

After disabling the built-in administrator, the account cannot log in.
