Add action steps to workflows

Action steps connect your workflow to external systems, services, and APIs so you can read data, write results, and trigger operations as part of an automated process.

Action steps represent integrations with third-party tools and platform services. You can use action steps to send notifications, update records in external systems, retrieve information needed by downstream steps, or perform any operation exposed by a connected integration. Action steps accept inputs from previous steps and produce outputs that subsequent steps can consume.
