Understand the workflow designer

Workflows are the primary functionality of automation orchestrator. The graphical workflow builder helps you design, configure, and run workflows for automation execution and orchestration from a single visual interface.

The dynamic workflow builder gives you a blank canvas to create and customize any type of workflow to automate simple or complex operational tasks. For example, an automated workflow can analyze logs with a task agent, request human approval, and run remediation job templates in Ansible Automation Platform. It integrates smoothly with any existing Ansible Automation Platform infrastructure without needing to write complex code from scratch.

Starting with a trigger node, you add node types to the canvas to build out the workflow you want. You configure the input, parameters, output of each node, the node order, and other settings. You can also run branches in parallel, loop actions, and converge paths when nodes reach a specified point.
